Job Summary
Monitor employee performance, execute operations based on daily case volume, and ensure orders are selected and loaded for on-time dispatch. Evaluate procedures and staff to improve efficiencies, counsel or discipline as necessary, and partner with Transportation to address load quality concerns. Interview, select, and train Selectors and Supervisors to maintain staffing levels while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and material handling equipment operations. Communicate effectively with associates to maintain safety, organization, and cleanliness, and present production metrics to upper management. Manage facility maintenance, oversee approximately 60 associates, and hold P&L responsibility for the assigned DC's warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
- 5 + years of warehouse operations experience
- progressive hands-on supervisory/management experience
- WMS experience
- Willing to work varying schedules to learn and support the various Warehouse Operations
Desired Qualifications
- BS/BA
- Previous experience in a Food Distribution environment
- Financial acumen with previous P&L responsibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software; strong focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledgeable of OSHA Standards and regulations
- SAP experience
- Manhattan experience
- Experience using voice-selecting applications
- Vocollect
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
