Job Summary
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods. Develop and implement warehouse procedures and policies to optimize efficiency, safety, and inventory accuracy. Manage and mentor warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with production, logistics, and supply chain teams to optimize material flow and meet production schedules. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and reduce operational costs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations
- at least 2 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols relevant to warehouse operations
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementation or optimization
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for performance tracking and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team through mentorship and training programs
- Bilingual (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) to support a diverse workforce
