Job Summary
Manage all warehouse activities and personnel in the Houston plant and offsite warehouse to support safe and efficient manufacturing and distribution operations. Fully support facility safety programs, ensure OHSA requirements are met, and actively contribute to continuous improvement of safety performance. Lead a team of six or more, oversee shipping and receiving activities, and liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary. Manage plant inventory by leading full physical and cycle count processes, maintain SAP transactional accuracy, and ensure FIFO stock rotation. Monitor performance of freight carriers, plan maintenance for warehouse areas, and identify old or unused stock to manage the obsolescence process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor 's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Science or Planning
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a warehousing environment
- Prior contribution to inventory control practices
- SAP knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to provide the leadership necessary to establish courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently and effectively
- Advanced strategic skills and problem solving/analytical skills
- Strong organization, planning and prioritizing skills with attention to detail
