Job Summary
Oversee warehouse and inventory management across multiple facilities in the Houston metropolitan area, managing receipt, storage, fulfillment, and shipments to customer sites. Supervise and train warehouse associates, prioritize workload, and lead Lean/Kaizen and Operational Excellence initiatives. Prepare annual budgets, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives while ensuring safety and accessibility. Implement cycle count programs, conduct annual physical inventories, and perform metrics reporting to identify process improvements. Collaborate with IT to enhance ERP functionalities and create training materials, while assisting in recruitment and maintaining accurate stock levels.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related factory experience and/or training
- 5+ years of previous of management or supervisory experience
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Computer knowledge with warehouse ERP systems
- basic MS Office software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to manage and develop warehouse staff
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Requires intense interaction with LN & Warehouse Management Systems
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading
