Job Summary
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods. Develop and implement warehouse procedures to optimize efficiency, safety, and inventory accuracy. Manage and mentor a team of warehouse staff, handling hiring, training, performance reviews, and scheduling. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and procurement to ensure timely material availability. Implement and maintain a robust inventory management system, conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards within the warehouse environment. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of warehouse personnel
- Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, logistics, and supply chain processes
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining safety protocols and compliance standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM)
- Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish
- Forklift operator certification
