Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day distribution, warehousing, and fulfillment operations by maintaining and enhancing existing standards across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Drive consistency and cost reduction through the creation and implementation of standard work and distribution center KPIs. Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen and Lean initiatives while investigating service failures to develop corrective and preventative actions. Manage the warehouse, inventory, and transportation workforce, including performance assessments and professional development coaching. Lead individual development plans with supervisors and participate in Kaizen events to improve processes. Manage the annual physical inventory process and drive all warehouse metrics to achieve organizational goals. Complete the Atkore Immersion program and develop a thorough understanding of JDE/RF-Smart within the first three months.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 10 years of warehouse and logistics experience
- 7 years at the management level
- 5-7 years of experience managing a Warehouse facility with responsibility for a budget of $12-15MM
- Experience managing employee relations in a unionized environment
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- MBA
- Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company
- Experience with WMS, JDE and RF Smart
- Experience with lean and six sigma processes and/ or Lean/Six Sigma certification
