Warehouse Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment including 36-volt DC forklifts, pallet jacks, and propane-powered sweepers. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform welding and fabrication, and repair structural components like racking and piping. Read schematics and use precision measuring devices to troubleshoot and replace defective parts while maintaining accurate computerized records of maintenance and inventory. Adhere to safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Work in a warehouse, repair shop, and surrounding facility areas with exposure to moving machinery and varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical or material-handling equipment
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pipe-fitting, fabrication, and general building maintenance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment using schematics, drawings, manuals, and other diagnostic resources
- Experience using mechanical hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and precision measuring devices
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to document maintenance, inspections, repairs, parts usage, and inventory electronically
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and respond effectively to equipment and facility maintenance needs
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and established maintenance procedures
- Ability to routinely lift and carry parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or appropriate lifting equipment when needed
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work overhead
- Ability to work beside, underneath, and within warehouse equipment and racking
- Ability to safely work from ladders and elevated platforms and within confined spaces
- Ability to wear a safety harness and other required personal protective equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the assigned shift
- Employees must wear all required protective clothing and equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, safety harnesses, and other job-specific personal protective equipment
- Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures, including the lockout/tagout system

- Experience maintaining and repairing electric forklifts, electric pallet jacks, propane-powered sweepers, or similar warehouse equipment
- Welding, brazing, soldering, and fabrication experience
