Job Summary
Retrieve inventory from floor and up-stock locations to support product transfers and shipments. Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and stock chasers while completing daily safety inspections. Use barcode scanners and warehouse software to maintain productivity minimums and follow detailed instructions. Perform cleaning activities and maintain a safe, clean warehouse environment. Stand and walk for eight hours while lifting items up to 50 pounds. Work Mon-Fri from 2:30 PM to 11 PM at S&S Activewear in Lockport, IL.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must be in good standing with the company
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets and labels written in English
- Ability to use electronic devices
- Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers quickly and accurately
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to prioritize assignments in order to meet cut off times
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Able to learn or be trained on using power equipment: Order Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser, Pallet Jack, Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift, etc.
- Willing to perform other duties as required
- Able to work overtime if required
- Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest)
- Must be able to stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift
