Job Summary
Organize the loading dock and load customer orders accurately per route sequence and dispatch time. Operate powered industrial trucks, including forklifts, to manipulate product and determine appropriate loading configurations for maximum cube utilization. Take inventory of materials on the dock, ensure product is properly stacked and shrink-wrapped, and check for frozen perishables on cooler docks. Load product into trucks on pallets or by hand stacking, ensuring all non-food items like pallet jacks and display racks are included. Maintain safe work practices, safeguard confidential information, and merge frozen items with correct orders while preventing transit damage.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of two (2) years experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)
- Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must maintain good attendance
- Ability to follow safe working practices, as instructed
- Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision

- OSHA Forklift Certification
