Job Summary
Run the day by opening and closing the location, deploying the team, and maintaining Saltbox standards through real-time direction and coaching. Own operational readiness by conducting daily audits, checking equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and coordinating vendors while catching issues before they accumulate. Perform intentional floor work alongside the team for dock, receiving, and services to stay credible, then lead by training new members, supporting hiring decisions, and using Pulse tools to audit output and track performance. Engage daily with members to answer questions, solve problems, and support onboarding and service adoption. Submit accurate daily reports and flag staffing or scheduling adjustments based on demand versus capacity.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years leading a team in an operations, retail, hospitality, warehouse, or similar environment
- A leadership mindset
- Comfort with physical, hands-on work
- Experience in warehousing, fulfillment, retail, or a similar environment
- You can switch gears quickly
- Strong communicator
- Comfortable with (or willing to learn) tools like Slack, Parsel, Shopify, or shipping platforms
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodation
