Job Summary
Oversee material distribution operations and hourly staff to ensure timely movement between production, inventory, and truck loading/unloading. Safely operate forklifts to stage, load, and unload materials while maintaining FIFO inventory control and staging outbound loads with the Shipping Clerk. Coordinate inbound receiving and outbound shipping tasks, including inspection, transport, and trailer sealing. Monitor team performance for quality standards, assist with handler training, and address maintenance issues for equipment and facilities. Ensure production lines have adequate supplies and communicate process improvements to management.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of sit-down forklift experience
- 3-5+ years of inventory control and process improvement experience
- Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge
- 3-5+ years MS Office experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to take coaching well
- Ability to communicate with team effectively and respectfully and during shift transition
- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions
- Ability to adhere to safe work practices
- Ability to work in a continuous improvement culture
- Frequent standing, stooping, sitting
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
- Occasional typing/keyboarding
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 6PM-4AM with alternating weekends
- Overtime expected per business demand
- Adhere to all PPE requirements per facility rules and regulations
