Job Summary
Warehouse Lead coaches and trains a team of warehouse associates and forklift drivers, taking on responsibilities across shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, and general warehouse operations. Responsibilities include training new staff and forklift operators, conducting PIT and annual recertification training, performing safety inspections, preparing shipping/tracking paperwork, participating in inventory/cycle counts, ensuring compliance with SQFI, FDA, and customer requirements, and serving as backup to the supervisor. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, process improvement, data analysis of daily production reports, and ensuring orderly operations with the ability to step into other warehouse duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience
- 6 months leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment
- Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain Forklift Operator license
