Job Summary
Coordinate warehouse personnel and activities including receipt, storage, and shipment of materials while meeting productivity goals. Supervise daily operations, manage work schedules and rotations, and conduct employee training on safety and standard operating procedures. Resolve shipping and inventory discrepancies, review time records, and address personnel grievances in compliance with company procedures. Compile productivity statistics, maintain sanitation standards, and act as backup to the Full-Time Supervisor. Perform end-shift paperwork and inform leadership of potential problems. Requires valid driver's license, forklift experience, and ability to work 12-hour shifts in extreme cold.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalency
- Working on a college degree preferred
- Must have reach truck experience
- Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Occasional lifting of 25 – 50 lbs
- Activities occur both inside and outside
- Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts
- Employee is subjected to extreme cold while supervising in the freezer
Desired Qualifications
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Experience with warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology
- Use of terminology of requisitions, invoices, and other warehouse documents
- Operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
- Experience utilizing WMS, RF Guns/Scanners
- Effective time management skills
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct appropriate research as needed
- Strong presentation skills
- Attention to detail and organization
- Critical thinking
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
