Job Summary
Coordinate receiving and processing of all inbound freight by supervising leads and warehouse personnel to ensure timely offloading, sorting, palletizing, and loading. Inspect pallet quality to reduce damages, estimate weights prior to loading to meet GVWR requirements, and communicate with drivers to assign dock doors and manage volumes. Guide staff through training and procedure reviews, while managing warehouse changes and adjusting operations as needed. Work an afternoon shift, weekends, and overtime as required, operating forklifts, pallet trucks, and pallet jacks.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a supervisor in warehouse and transportation environment
- Ability to lead, direct, and supervise warehouse employees
- Basic reading, math, computer and typing skills
- Knowledge of major cities and zip codes in the states that we operate
- Ability to communicate verbally and via email in clear manner
- Ability to comprehend written and oral information effectively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities
- Forklift, pallet truck, and pallet jack experience
