Job Summary
Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, purchasing, inventory control, and cycle counting while directing staff activities. Balance work requirements with the Warehouse Manager to facilitate customer deliveries, manage documentation, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. Assign duties, develop improved materials handling methods, and maintain a safe, hazard-free environment. Provide security, maintenance, and calibration for warehouse equipment. Pick, stage, and load delivery orders per routes, driving company trucks for prompt on-schedule deliveries and pickups. Fill-in across branches to cover absences, identify deficiencies for management resolution, and ensure team training completion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse, electrical product materials handling, and/or wholesale electrical parts distribution capacity
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification if driving required
- Ability obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment
- Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs
- Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs
- Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
- Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
- Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
