Job Summary
Load and unload delivery trucks, organizing stock within the warehouse and securing glass to prevent damage. Conduct inventory checks to ensure product availability and assist in preparing orders for installation by staging goods efficiently. Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation while maintaining safety standards through proper protective equipment usage. This role requires lifting heavy objects up to 70 pounds regularly and working in a physically demanding environment with exposure to dust and noise. Candidates must have experience working with heavy items and forklift certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a warehouse environment, particularly with heavy items such as glass
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- Good manual dexterity required for handling, packing, and securing glass materials
- Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
- Required to wear safety gear and adhere to all safety protocols related to warehouse activities
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Work effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and safety measures
