Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead Associate coordinates the workflow of daily operational activities, communicates the daily work plan, and mentors associates as part of the site leadership team. Responsibilities include proactive risk identification and action planning to ensure safe conditions, overseeing MHE operations (forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks), ensuring adherence to safety/PPE requirements, maintaining a clean and secure work area, and performing inbound/outbound duties when not training. The role involves coaching on best practices for glass handling and safety procedures, and may require performing various operational tasks as needed. Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to operate MHE safely are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid state-issued driver's license required and any other license(s) (as required by federal, state, and local laws) to operate a company vehicle; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check (MVR).
- Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including order pickers, forklift, and reach trucks.
- To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds.
- Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance to help your teammates.
- Excellent people, leadership, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
