Job Summary
Manage daily warehouse functions including loading and unloading orders, stocking inventory, and maintaining the facility. Receiving household goods for storage, monitor house operations, and assign tasks to the warehouse team. Utilize the Inventory Control System (Windfall) and oversee material flow while ensuring security of stock. Operate heavy forklifts in compliance with OSHA requirements and perform repairs on new furniture as needed. Follow issued loading lists to load products into trailers orderly and safely. Maintain a clean workspace free of debris and implement safety procedures across all operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of Warehouse experience
- Background in distribution and logistics
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs., carrying, pushing and/or pulling
- Fundamental knowledge of inventory control
- Willingness to implement safety procedures and standards in all warehouse operations
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with temperature extremes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and accurately read written and computer generated information in English
- Ability to work in extreme weather environments (both a climate-controlled warehouse and outdoors in all-weather environments and conditions)
- Stand, walk on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, metal (to include fiberglass ramps placed on 30-degree angle)
- Use of finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, crawl and climb stairs
- Occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 75 pounds without mechanical aid
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of Warehouse experience
- Comfortable and experienced using barcode scanning system
- Forklift certification
- Furniture handling experience
- Distribution experience
