Job Summary
Inventory control specialist responsible for conducting inventory cycle counts and physical inventories, compiling, verifying and reporting daily/periodic statistics to detect trends and improve inventory health. Investigates variances to determine root cause (process or behavior), logs findings for operational review, counts/reconciles specific part numbers/locations, supports process-improvement projects, and ensures compliance with inventory procedures and contractual obligations. Requires high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of related experience, forklift operation, and proficiency with MS Outlook/Word/Excel; ability to read safety/operating manuals, use the WMS system for tracking, and write routine reports. Location is Hialeah, FL on-site.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
- Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training
- Experience operating a forklift
- PC literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to research, track issues through the WMS system and make logical conclusions as to the root cause of defects
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Must be able to accurately count and record key data in WMS or other systems
