Job Summary
Direct the daily Internet shipping process by overseeing picking, sorting, packing, and processing to meet customer deadlines. Guide direct staff members in completing shipping mandates efficiently while enforcing safety practices and ensuring quality goals are achieved. Assist picking supervisors in prioritizing orders, monitor systems for customer satisfaction, and troubleshoot department demands. Train new team members and maintain clean work areas free of hazards. Secure and transfer cash or other assets as assigned. Work flexible shifts to support the expanding team.
Required Qualifications
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh upto 100 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach
- Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/ or stairs) or balance
- May be subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
- May be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
- Time management skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors
- Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
