Job Summary
Prioritize and pick materials to fill orders, stage product for loading, and designate stock by product line to allow sufficient space for overflow. Operate powered industrial vehicles including forklifts and pallet jacks safely while lifting products weighing up to 150 pounds and handling tires greater than 50 pounds. Assist in administrative tasks such as handling paperwork, verifying incoming and outgoing products for accuracy, and compiling reports on damaged or outdated stock. Perform periodic facilities maintenance, cleaning the parking lot and loading dock, and segregate defective product from normal inventory flow.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED degree
- Must be able to lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to handle tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds
- Must occasionally stand
- Must occasionally walk
- Must occasionally sit
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must be available for 5% of the time travel
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in a safe manner and maintain an operator license, if required
