Job Summary

Prioritize and pick material to fill orders, stage product for loading, and designate stock by product line and physical alignment. Operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely while loading and unloading delivery trucks. Perform periodic facilities maintenance, including cleaning parking lots, loading docks, and surrounding areas. Assist in administrative tasks like handling paperwork, verifying incoming and outgoing products for accuracy, and compiling reports on damaged or outdated stock.

Required Qualifications

  • High School or GED degree
  • Must be able to lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Must be able to handle tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds
  • Must be able to occasionally stand
  • Must be able to occasionally walk
  • Must be able to occasionally sit
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Must have close vision
  • Must have distance vision
  • Must have color vision
  • Must have peripheral vision
  • Must have depth perception
  • Must be able to adjust focus
  • Must be able to talk
  • Must be able to hear
  • Must be able to taste and/or smell
  • Must be able to operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in a safe manner
  • Must maintain an operator license, if required
  • Must be available for 5% of the time travel

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to express ideas, request actions, formulate plans, & policies by means of clear and effective verbal communications
  • Ability to ensure the optimum utilization of warehouse or production plant, equipment and materials
  • Ability to manage and apply safe systems of work
  • Ability to design, implement and manage inventory control systems
  • Ability to ensure the optimum movement and storage of warehouse & production plant, equipment and materials
  • Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Ability to monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures and ensure their alignment with organizational strategies and work objectives
  • Ability to ensure that all production operations are carried out to ensure the required quality of outcomes
  • Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels
  • Ability to ensure the optimum storage of warehouse, plant, equipment, materials and supplies
