Job Summary
Material Handler / Forklift Operator responsibilities include receiving, selecting, and loading materials; operating forklift safely and efficiently; verifying order accuracy after packaging and loading; providing basic customer service to internal and external customers; collaborating with teammates to fulfill daily orders; maintaining a clean, safe workspace; following OSHA procedures and performing daily forklift safety checks; and performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions
- Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions
- Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw
- Preferred: Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance)
- Preferred: Familiarity with building materials
- Preferred: Able to measure and calculate material lengths
