Job Summary
Rich’s is seeking a Warehouse Group Leader in Niles, IL to oversee the accurate receiving, handling, labeling, and storage of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods; supervise the safe loading and unloading of freight with proper documentation and compliance; monitor inventory levels, verify shipments against invoices, and report discrepancies; ensure warehouse equipment is functioning and escalate issues; lead and train staff, provide coaching and cross-shift coverage, and promote accountability, efficiency, and safety in line with food safety and quality standards; the role requires capability to work in a freezer environment at -20F and involves forklift operation; experience with SAP, Syspro, riteSCAN, and RF scanners is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in food processing, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing, preferably operating computerized equipment
- Minimum 3 years of hands on forklift experience, preferably with Crown equipment
- Proficiency operating sit down forklifts, extended reach lifts, and electric riding pallet jacks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
