Job Summary
Handle shipping and receiving, pull and pack orders, and help load and unload trucks while maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse and yard. Navigate the warehouse layout, yard setup, and bin system to pick, pack, and assemble materials for shipment or counter pick-up. Double-check work to prevent errors, clearly label outgoing orders with customer names and carton counts, and complete paperwork accurately by noting shortages or damage. Unload incoming deliveries, verify contents for accuracy, and report vendor shipping errors per company procedures. Scan and file receiving, freight claim, and return documents. This hands-on role requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds, with work inside and out in all weather conditions. No Sundays required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a substance abuse screening
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds
- Must remain alert and perform job functions safely
- Vision requirements include distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to talk, hear, walk, use hands, and reach with arms
Desired Qualifications
- Six months of warehouse experience preferred
- A combination of education and relevant work experience
