Job Summary
Lead the centralized seed fulfillment operation by translating order demand into daily work plans and coordinating labor, equipment, and workflow to maintain throughput during seasonal peaks. Own inventory accuracy and seed-lot traceability from receipt to shipment, ensuring proper identification, labeling, and compliance with state and federal requirements. Manage shipping logistics including carrier coordination, documentation, and pickup scheduling while troubleshooting delayed or damaged shipments. Resolve operational issues affecting accuracy, quality, or delivery timelines and implement continuous improvements to workflows, systems, and facility needs as volume grows. Lead and develop the Seed Fulfillment team, establishing clear expectations for safety, accuracy, and efficiency while coordinating with sales, seed operations, and agronomy on inventory and order priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, production, inventory control, distribution, or a similar operational environment
- Experience leading employees and coordinating day-to-day work within a warehouse, production, or fulfillment operation
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, product traceability, shipping logistics, and order fulfillment
- Demonstrated ability to improve workflows, operating procedures, or systems that increase efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance
- Strong operational judgment with the ability to balance staffing, inventory availability, order priorities, and customer commitments
- Experience investigating operational issues, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple products, inventory lots, customer orders, and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and inventory, ERP, warehouse management, or order processing systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across sales, production, agronomy, and fulfillment teams
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of operational outcomes, and lead the continued development of a centralized warehouse and fulfillment operation
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with seed dust exposure
