Job Summary
Pick various items using order sheets or an audio headset, stack products on pallets for wrapping and loading at bay doors, and ensure order accuracy while adhering to safety standards. Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases from storage racks, apply selection labels, and utilize proper wrapping techniques to prevent product damage. Inform supervisors of quantity or description differences, perform equipment inspections, and complete appropriate forms. Frequently lift products weighing 1 to 60 lbs or more, ranging from floor to overhead, while walking between 6 to 12 miles daily on various surfaces. Work a full-time night shift starting at 7:00 PM with a 10-12 hour duration, four to five days a week including Sunday, at 61 Medeiros Way, Westfield MA.
Required Qualifications
- General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies
- High School Diploma - General Studies
- Shift 1st Shift (United States of America)
- Must be able to lift 1 - 60 lbs. or more
- Must be able to lift product ranging from floor to overhead
- Must be able to frequently lift of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
- Must be able to frequently lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
- Must be able to frequently safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
- Must be able to frequently safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
- Must be able to operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack
- Must be able to apply selection labels to appropriate cases
- Must be able to utilize proper wrapping techniques
- Must be able to inform Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
- Must be able to perform equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
- Must be able to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
- Must be able to stand, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
- Must be able to walk between 6-12 miles per day
- Must be able to work on multiple levels of varying height
- Must be able to work in Frozen environment – about -20° - 0°
- Must be able to adhere to safety standards
