Job Summary
Conduct forklift operations to transport merchandise, stack and rotate inventory, and replenish pick slots to ensure timely order fulfillment. Accurately track stock levels using handheld technology while loading and unloading trailers from designated storage areas. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and follow standard operating procedures for material handling equipment. Perform occasional safe lifting of varying case weights ranging from 1 to 60 lbs. Work the first shift in North East, MD, with paid training provided and benefits available from day one.
Required Qualifications
- General Equivalency Diploma
- High School Diploma
- One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment
- Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures
- Team-oriented outlook
- Ability and willingness to follow material handling equipment safe operating procedures
- Ability to stand, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
- Ability to frequently lift product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs.
- Ability to frequently lift product ranging from floor to overhead
- Ability to work on multiple levels of varying height
- Ability to safely handle sharp objects including box cutting tools
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to accurately track inventory utilizing a handheld computer and other necessary technology
- Ability to stack and rotate merchandise, either by hand or using material handling equipment
- Ability to replenish pick slots and production lines
- Ability to stage finished product in designated storage areas
- Ability to load and unload merchandise from trailers
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures set for a forklift operator in the warehouse
- Ability to occasionally safely lift varying case weight, shape, and height levels
- Desire to work with a team to support causes that positively impact our communities
