Job Summary
Identify products, compare incoming shipments to packing slips, and process UPS and motor freight deliveries. Organize delivery runs by pulling products from shelves using first-in, first-out ordering, inspecting for accuracy, and logging all movements into a daily delivery log. Load and unload ¾ ton and large trucks, drive to customer locations, and secure signed delivery tickets for order processing. Stock heavy items up to 6 feet high and climb stairs with products while maintaining a clean driving record. Assist branch and operations managers as needed. This role supports Purvis Industries' 75-year legacy as a leading independent distributor of bearings and power transmission components across 17 states.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- No more than two moving violations in the past 18 months
- No more than three moving violations in the past 36 months
- No more than one at-fault accident with no bodily injury and one moving violation in the past three years
- No more than one at-fault accident with bodily injury in the past three years
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must accurately identify products, requiring basic reading skills
- Must be able to lift products to 70 pounds daily
- Ability to climb stairs with products in hand
