Job Summary
Read production schedules, customer orders, and work requisitions to determine items for movement, gathering, or distribution. Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated zones, sorting and breaking down product by SKU, quantity, and type. Operate electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts while assembling customer orders from stock, placing them on pallets or shelves, and moving them to the loading dock for shipping. Label pallets with identifying information when instructed and open bales, crates, and containers as necessary. Record amounts of materials received or distributed and communicate effectively with receivers, drivers, and forklift operators. Adhere to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull processes daily and report all safety concerns promptly. Wear the company-issued uniform and handle all issued equipment, including PPE and voice equipment, responsibly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to use electric pallet jack
- Ability to use stand-up forklift
- Must wear company issued uniform
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
