Job Summary
Drive company vehicles over 10,000 lbs to transport roofing materials and equipment to jobsites, vendors, and facilities, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT requirements. Pick up materials from suppliers, stage roofing supplies, and assist the metal shop with loading, unloading, and organizing fabricated components. Maintain a clean, hazard-free warehouse environment while handling general building support tasks and reporting mechanical concerns promptly. Requires a current DOT Medical Card, valid driver's license, and experience operating trucks over 10,000 lbs. Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Ongoing medical fitness to operate vehicles over 10,000 lbs
- Demonstrated experience operating trucks or vehicles over 10,000 lbs
- Physical fitness and stamina
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds safely
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a consistent basis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious with a team-first attitude
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including seasonal weather
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and supporting the team
- DOT Medical Card, physical stamina, and a team-first mindset
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or construction environment
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Forklift certification
