Job Summary
Conduct safe and efficient deliveries of merchandise and packages to warehouses and cruise ship locations across Miami-Dade, Broward, Pompano, Key West, and West Palm Beach Counties. Operate trucks or vans under 26,000 GVW, utilizing routing software when needed, while loading and unloading shipments and verifying items against manifests. Follow assigned routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining clear communication with supervisors via phone or radio for delivery updates. Obtain signatures and submit receipts for all deliveries, collect payments when required, and perform daily vehicle inspections for fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, and lights. Maintain accurate HOS and ELD records at all times, report mechanical issues, delays, or accidents immediately, and adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- Ability to operate straight trucks and tractor-trailer combinations
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to work long hours and weekends during busy seasons
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Professional appearance
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license (implied by CDL requirement)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly
