Warehouse Driver Associate

Job Summary

Conduct delivery and pickup of parts, pulling and organizing customer orders by part number and quantity as directed by picking tickets. Load materials into vehicles, install bracing or padding, and follow assigned routes to ensure maximum efficiency. Unload products from shipping vehicles, store items in designated areas, and stock inventory while maintaining cleanliness. Operate industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas, completing annual training. Perform daily vehicle inspections, log working hours, and report defects or accidents immediately. Pick up returns and cores, tag appropriately, and ship orders via UPS, US Mail, bus, motor freight, or local truck. Maintain logs of vehicle service and repair status, ensuring all load-related documentation is complete and accurate.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience
  • Valid drivers' license with clean driving record
  • OSHA approved safety toed shoes
  • Ability to lift or carry parts in excess of 60 lbs up to 15% of the time
  • Majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs
  • Inside/Outside Conditions, Varied Temperature Changes, Minimal Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Dust, Vehicle Noise
  • Ability to follow instructions to completion
  • Ability to solve simple equations; ability to use mathematics to solve problems
  • Ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
  • Ability to distinguish details at a distance
  • Ability to choose quickly between two or more movements in response to two or more different signals (lights, sounds, pictures)
  • Ability to know your location in relation to the environment or to know where other objects are in relation to you

  • Ability to complete daily inspection/log of delivery vehicle
  • Ability to maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of warehouse by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and emptying trash as necessary
  • Ability to examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
  • Ability to load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices
  • Ability to stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas
  • Ability to package, label and ship customer orders by UPS, US Mail, bus, motor freight and local truck deliveries
  • Ability to maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed
  • Ability to check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
  • Ability to determine delivery vehicle is in an operative condition daily by completing daily inspection/log
  • Ability to maintain a clean vehicle and operate vehicle in a safe manner daily
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to all customers, ensuring the order being delivered is correct and maintaining professionalism in appearance and conduct
  • Ability to pull and organize customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned
  • Ability to follow company delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency of delivery run
  • Ability to pick up any and all applicable returns and cores, tagging appropriately and returning them to the branch
  • Ability to unload products from shipping vehicles and store at the appropriate storage area in the warehouse
  • Ability to provide support to the warehouse operations of the branch
  • Ability to provide customer service through the delivery and/or pick-up of parts and other products

Desired Qualifications

  • Forklift operator certification and 1 year experience operating a forklift highly desired
