Job Summary
Conduct daily delivery and pick-up of parts, organizing customer orders by part number and quantity as directed by picking tickets. Load materials into vehicles, install bracing to prevent shifting, and follow assigned routes for maximum efficiency. Operate industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas while maintaining clean vehicles and completing daily inspections. Stock and maintain inventory in designated warehouse areas, package and ship orders via various carriers, and handle returns and cores. Perform general warehouse support tasks including sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash to ensure safety compliance. Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service status, reporting defects or accidents immediately.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience
- Valid drivers' license with clean driving record
- OSHA approved safety toed shoes
- Ability to lift or carry parts in excess of 60 lbs up to 15% of the time
- Majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs
- Inside/Outside Conditions, Varied Temperature Changes, Minimal Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Dust, Vehicle Noise
- Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- Ability to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
- Ability to distinguish details at a distance
- Ability to choose quickly between two or more movements in response to two or more different signals (lights, sounds, pictures)
- Ability to know your location in relation to the environment or to know where other objects are in relation to you
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification and 1 year experience operating a forklift highly desired
