Job Summary
Warehouse Distribution Specialist responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of cargo in a fast-paced freight-forwarding and logistics environment. Ensures compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and customer requirements; supports inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and overall warehouse productivity. May assist with basic system updates, labeling, and documentation to support visibility and compliance. Requires operating forklifts and other MHE, verifying shipment accuracy against documentation, coordinating with customer service and transportation teams, and maintaining safe, clean, and organized warehouse conditions. Experience with import/export freight and WMS systems is highly preferred; forklift certification or ability to become certified is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2–3 years of warehouse/distribution experience (preferably in freight forwarding, 3PL, or contract logistics operations)
- Experience with import/export freight and warehouse WMS systems highly preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment per OSHA standards
- Basic computer literacy including familiarity with scanning devices, warehouse systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs with minimal supervision
- Dependable and punctual with flexibility for overtime or alternate shifts
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safe and compliant work environment
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified (counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack)
