Job Summary
Pull all customer orders efficiently and accurately according to the prescribed picking quota. Navigate to shelves, identify products and quantities, transport items to the checking station, and maintain good speed while ensuring accuracy in repetitive routines. Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and order selectors, and use voice picking and RF scanning systems. Adhere to stockroom housekeeping policies and all safety rules regarding hazardous materials. Lift up to 60 pounds and move heavy products exceeding 1,000 pounds using hand trucks and dollies. Work M-F in multiple shifts with an hourly rate up to $23.29. Forklift certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write legibly
- Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system
- Ability to adapt to understanding the voice system's commands
- Ability to adapt speech so that the voice system can understand input
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Heavy equipment (Forklift / Order Selector) experience
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids
