Job Summary
Pull customer orders efficiently and accurately by navigating shelves, identifying products, and transporting items to the checking station using voice picking and RF scanning equipment. Adhere to prescribed picking quotas, Stockroom Housekeeping Policy, and all safety rules regarding hazardous materials. Maintain high speed and accuracy in repetitive routine tasks while managing basic computer navigation. Requires functional literacy, math skills, and ability to read product codes and line numbers. Occasional forklift use and lifting up to 60 pounds are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Functionally literate
- Capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes
- Ability to identify sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write legibly
- Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system
- Ability to adapt to understanding the voice system's commands
- Ability to adapt speech so that the voice system can understand input
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Basic navigation on the computer
- Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment
- Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy
- Adherence to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials
- Occasional use of a forklift
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids
- Close vision
