Job Summary
Directs associates to perform operations safely and efficiently, utilizing daily huddles to communicate procedures and assignments. Coordinates work assignments, ensures timely completion of load verification, and approves timekeeping accounts. Oversees hiring, promotions, and terminations while implementing performance improvement changes. Maintains safety compliance through daily inspections, audits, and adherence to EHS policies. Mentors new associates and trains subordinate team members. Ensures administrative paperwork is completed accurately and reports daily activities to corporate office. Requires valid driver's license, 1+ years of leadership experience, and ability to work in varying temperatures. Full-time, permanent position with medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience receiving or unloading in a warehouse or distribution setting
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of logistics
- Ability to speak and write English for effective communication
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Leadership skills and ability to supervise people and production effectively
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must pass background check
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must be able to lift cases by hand weighing from 25 to 95 pounds, occasionally
- Must be able to operate warehouse/material moving equipment
- Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat occasionally
- Ability to use close and distance vision to focus on a computer screen for the majority of the workday
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
