Job Summary
Load and unload trucks to prevent merchandise damage, delivering items to customer homes and assembling furniture as required. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and upkeep of the delivery truck, ensuring it is fueled, cleaned, and maintained. Assist with warehouse tasks including receiving, stocking, and staging, while maintaining a clean environment. Obtain customer signatures on tickets, account for CODs, and perform store inventory duties as needed. Report discrepancies and issues to management promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in reading and understanding delivery paperwork, merchandise tickets, and safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Frequently lift a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques
- Must be able to visually inspect merchandise and delivery documents
