Job Summary
Load and unload trucks safely to prevent merchandise damage while assisting with receiving, stocking, and reporting discrepancies. Drive delivery vehicles to customers' homes, unloading and placing items, and sample or assemble furniture as required. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections, maintain proper fuel and cleaning, and report any vehicle issues to management. Assist in warehouse upkeep, pick up stock from other stores, and complete necessary paperwork including customer signatures and COD accounts. Maintain a neat appearance and professional attitude throughout all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in reading and understanding delivery paperwork, merchandise tickets, and safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Frequently lift a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques
- Must be able to visually inspect merchandise and delivery documents
