Job Summary
Safely operate a 26 ft. box truck to deliver products to job sites, residential, and commercial customers while loading, unloading, and handling frequent heavy lifting. Verify orders for accuracy, collect required signatures, and provide professional customer service at each stop. Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain a clean truck, and report damages or shortages promptly. Assist with staging and securing products, support warehouse operations when deliveries are complete, and communicate delays as needed. Complete deliveries independently as a solo driver.
Required Qualifications
- Active DOT Medical Card
- Must be 21 yrs of age or older
- Minimum of 3 years licensed
- Current valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to complete an online defensive driving course and test
- Ability to pass a driver evaluation road test administered by trainer
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical labor
- High attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Prior delivery experience (large items such as plumbing, kitchen/bath items, appliances and irrigation materials)
- 2+ years of experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles
- Experience using handheld scanners, GPS, or routing systems
- Customer service experience in delivery or field service environments
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
