Job Summary
Warehouse Associate and Driver role at EMCO Corporation in North Bay, ON. Responsibilities include picking, packing, and shipping customer orders, counting and verifying materials, receiving/vendor returns, loading/unloading trucks, operating forklift and other material handling equipment, completing pre-trip inspections, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and providing customer service at delivery sites. Drives Emco truck for out-of-town deliveries to job sites, customer facilities, and vendor locations, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and communication with the Profit Centre Manager and Warehouse Supervisor. Includes handling shipping documents, TDG/WHMIS knowledge, inventory control, and assisting with warehouse duties and sales leads. Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required; driving experience with a valid G license (DZ asset) and knowledge of CVOR encouraged; TDG and safety knowledge beneficial. In-person work arrangement in North Bay with emphasis on teamwork and adherence to health and safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
- A minimum of 1 year of driving experience with a valid G license, clean driving record; DZ license an asset
- Knowledge of CVOR and clean CVOR record will be considered an asset
- Experience driving a 3/4 ton trucks
- Understanding of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods act
- Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
- Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
- Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders
- Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
- Intermediate math skills
- Preferred Skills: Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre
- Experience using Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams and Outlook
