Warehouse Customer Service Representative

Job Summary
Interacts with customers by phone, email, or in person and receives orders or changes in service. Processes and inputs all customer orders and receipts, runs stock reports to check product availability, generates related paperwork, and posts inventory records. Coordinates special shipping requests with transportation departments, tracks orders, and notifies customers of activity including shipping and tracing information. Maintains accurate invoicing and a courteous, efficient relationship with customers; acts as liaison between the warehouse and the customer regarding invoicing and credit changes; performs clerical duties such as answering phones, operating office machines, and maintaining customer files. Requires familiarity with AS400 and warehouse-management systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; ability to write reports and respond to inquiries; and capability to interpret varied instructions. The role is part of GEODIS’s warehouse customer service operations, offering opportunities to engage with customers and support logistics activities across inventory, billing, and order processing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training
- Experience with AS400 operating systems and warehouse management systems preferred
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
