Job Summary
Assemble customer orders from stock, place them on pallets or shelves, and convey items to staging or shipping areas. Receive picklists, utilize barcoding and Ceres for all orders and inventory items, and sort products according to predetermined sequences. Maintain warehouse space using locations, barcoding, and FIFO prioritization while executing quarterly physical counts. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely, load and unload trucks, and handle food according to safe practices. Complete forms, reports, and logs including weekly offerings lists and monthly donor receipts. Backup for frozen and perishable items, volunteer coordinators, and inventory coordination as needed. Maintain positive relationships with donors, partner agencies, and volunteers while ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three years related experience
- Ability to read and comprehend packing slips and orders
- Ability to effectively communicate problems and issues
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, basic understanding of weights and measures
- Must be computer literate
- knowledge of Microsoft Word
- knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- inventory database experience
- Commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
- Negative Pre-employment Drug Screening
- Clean Driving Record
- New Mexico Driver's License
- Successful Completion of Forklift Training provided by The Food Depot
- Must be able to get into a forklift and operate all of the controls
- Must be able to load and unload items into and out of truck
- Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jacks
