Job Summary
Shipping, receiving, and transporting packaging, ingredients, and finished goods while observing all safety rules and personal protective equipment requirements. Maintain forklifts through daily inspections of batteries, water levels, lights, and tires, and operate all forklift equipment as required. Verify deliveries by physically counting materials against receipts, enter documentation into the computer system, and organize old materials with new stock. Perform daily housekeeping by removing dirty or broken items, assist with inventory cycle counts, and stage packaging based on production schedules. Work in an extremely cold environment with minimal supervision, lifting 50 pounds and performing all other warehouse and freezer duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- One year or more material handling experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to regularly stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
- Must be able to operate all forklift equipment
- Must be trained and recertified annually for forklift license
- Must be able to work in an extremely cold environment
