Job Summary

Inspect all incoming raw materials and warehouse supplies for visual damage, verify shipment descriptions match physical counts, and confirm proper identification and documentation. Process goods receipts in SAP, scan shipping documents for Accounts Payable, and maintain a complete filing system of original receiving records. Prepare shipments for carriers, hand out supplies to manufacturing departments, and assist with end-of-year inventory reports and cycle counts. Gather and input data to complete A/E's, run weekly and monthly forecasts, and prepare mill and production schedules. Work alongside the Inventory Control and Cost Manager and Production Control Clerk to maintain accurate production records and files.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle or to have transportation available to accomplish essential job duties and related travel
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Walking can include traveling throughout a 100 acre facility with dirt roads and uneven ground
  • Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require working outside of standard office hours, weekend or evening work
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables
  • Must have mental processes for complex reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently
  • Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and plant personnel
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP
