Job Summary
Accurately receive all deliveries, load and unload trucks with a forklift or crane, and move materials within the plant or yard. Perform inventory control by counting and checking in material against purchase orders or packing lists, then store items in appropriate locations. Identify and report receiving or material issues, inspect parts for quality problems, and maintain document control in the Made 2 Manage system. Correct inventory inaccuracies, segregate non-compliant material, and ensure safety incident-free operations while maintaining department housekeeping. Work cooperatively with logistics handlers, receivers, and shippers to uphold quality standards below 1% receiver errors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to comprehend quality work instructions, correspondence, and memos in English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Basic shop math
- Skills associated with measurement and counting
- Ability to accurately read numeric values and to count
- Ability to identify and correct basic inventory inaccuracies
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to reason logically and develop both practical and creative solutions to problems
- Ability to use a sit-down counter-balance forklift, and hand-jacks
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, power stapler, strapper, wrapper, weight counting scales, label printers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with a warehouse management software preferred
- Prefer supervisory experience
- Previous product accountability
