Job Summary
Warehouse/Clerk at Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio handles cash transactions and store operations while performing warehouse duties. Responsibilities include accurately operating the cash register and processing payments, entering credit card transactions, verifying prices, assisting customers, stocking and merchandising, loading/unloading merchandise, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Requires at least 2 years of cash-handling and transaction-entry experience, strong verbal and teamwork skills, ability to stand/walk for long periods, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; forklift experience is preferred. Required Qualifications
- 2-years’ experience in accurately entering transactions and operating a cash register, cash handling and making change
- Ability to operate a cash register and process payments by cash, check, or credit card
- Accurate mathematical calculation abilities (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Good people and teamwork skills; verbal communications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Fork Lift experience, preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and understand information presented in writing
- Ability to provide customer service, answer phones, and assist with scheduling pickups
- Maintain clean and safe working environment; adhere to safety procedures
