Job Summary
Unload incoming shipments using a forklift or manually, checking for damage and shortages before signing bills of lading. Place received items on designated shelves and assist with preparing outbound shipment documents. Document all received shipments against open purchase orders, process returned material requests by confirming validity and forwarding associated paperwork, and maintain an open and closed list of RMAs. Assist with data entry for received goods and help with other warehouse material functions as required. Maintain the receiving area in a clean and proper manner while adhering to prescribed safety principles and environmental management standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 150 pounds with 2 persons
- Ability to discern various colors (wires, electronic components, etc.)
- Ability to read small, printed words and numbers accurately
- Ability to bend
- Ability to reach
- Ability to carry equipment, tools, demo boxes, etc.
- Ability to access small spaces
- Climbing ladders
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System
- Familiarity with common freight
- Ability to work with and preserve confidential information
- Ability to perform all operations according to prescribed safety principles
- Ability to present professional communication skills – verbal, written, e-mail
- Ability to act as Company representative at other company locations, or at other companies
- Must maintain certification if operating forklift
- Must maintain certification if operating Fusion Machine
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree with a manufacturing or business emphasis preferred
- Two or more years of experience working in a warehouse-receiving environment a plus
- Strong computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office a plus
- SAP experience, a plus
