Job Summary
Verify purchase requisitions against master lists, clarify unclear items, and recommend alternatives. Forwards available inventory by verifying stock and scheduling delivery while preparing purchase orders with supplier recommendations. Obtain purchased items by expediting orders and verify receipts by comparing received items to ordered quantities, resolving shipment errors. Authorize payment by forwarding receiving documentation and keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents. Provide purchasing planning and control information by analyzing data trends. Weigh and ticket customer trucks in a fast-paced aggregates facility. This role supports the Magnesia Specialties business, which produces high-purity magnesia and dolomitic lime products used worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read and write and speak fluently in the English language
- Must be able to handle varied workloads
- Must be able to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground)
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders as high as 350 feet in elevation
- Must be able to lift and push 30 lbs. of weight
- Ability to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs and stockpiles, stoop and crawl
- Visual acuity, speech & hearing, hand & eye coordination
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and use basic hand tools
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 90 dbs
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty
Desired Qualifications
- JDE experience a plus
- Self-starting, detail oriented and adaptable to change
- Demonstrated technical/professional knowledge in supply chain concepts
- Ability to plan and prioritize work
- Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills
- Forklift experience preferred
- Cycle counting experience preferred
